Grant Two Week Photos

Grant is starting to pack on the pounds! He measured in at around 9 lb on 3/20/11 (just past two weeks) and he's eating like a champ!

Welcome Grant Carson Ely

Here are a few pictures of me before Grants big arrival.

Grant Carson was born on March 2. 2011 at 12:33 pm. He was 7 lbs 13 oz and 20 inches long. The birth was short. I was induced about 7:15 that morning and by noon the nurse was telling us our little guy should be here around 1:00 pm. About 20minutes later I was ready to push and after 10 minutes Grant made his grand entrance. We are extremely blessed to have such a wonderful new baby. He seems to be content with just eating and sleeping but rarely crying. We are trying to get used to only sleeping a few hours each night and then having enough energy to play with Gavin during the day. It is a big adjustment but we are doing our best to cope right now.

Gavin is starting to get used to the idea that baby Grant is going to stay with us. He likes to know where the baby is at all times and then goes about his day playing. We gave Gavin a special dinosaur present at the hospital and told him it was from baby Grant. He lets us know all the time who gave him the dinosaurs. I think he is more interested in them than his little brother right now.
